Iowa with Tre Numero Uno's in the first NCAA Wrestling RPI
The second published coaches poll is out and is accompanied by the first wrestling RPI list. Not surprising, Brent Metcalf and Jay Borschell are sitting at the top of their weight classes in the first RPI rankings. Of some surprise is the inclusion of 125 pounder, Matt McDonough, at #1. Other Hawkeyes ranked near the top of the RPI are Ryan Morningstar at #7 and Phil Keddy at #10. Montell Marion slipped in at #17 for the Hawkeyes. Due to the 15 match minimum requirement for RPI ranking, Hawkeye wrestlers Dan Dennis, Chad Beatty and Dan Erekson received no RPI ranking in the first go around. It is likely that Dennis, currently ranked #2 on the coaches poll, and Dan Erekson, ranked 8th, will jump high up on the second published RPI list in a few weeks. Chad Beatty may not receive an RPI ranking if he does not return before the Big Ten meet which will not help his seeding at Nationals.

Iowa suports
Local businessman, Tre Numero, in opening his first North Liberty-Coralville-Amana-Area Pizzaria Uno’s but is wrestling with the idea of maintaining his Rights of Pizzeria Independence as stipulated under article B, section 4 of the Iowa State Charter. It’s pretty straightforward if you actually take the time to read it.
Less memorable than Sam Okey's Hawkeye career.

Brent will hate
that you made him look pigeon-chested. However, Brent Metcalf should totally wrestle the whole Big Ten Tournament in a Lucha Libre mask.
