If you thought we'd use anything else, you haven't been paying attention.
The Iowa men's basketball team, fresh off a win at Drake over the weekend, closes non-conference play tonight at Carver Hawkeye Arena against Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs enter tonight's game at a deceptive 9-4, with wins over nobody of note and losses to Texas, Arkansas-Little Rock, McNeese State, and Northwestern State (yes, that Northwestern State). Of course, Louisiana Tech is the alma mater of Karl Malone, who never won a title and once wrestled Dennis Rodman and Hulk Hogan with the help of Diamond Dallas Page (a/k/a "The White Karl Malone"). This has no bearing on tonight's game, but it lets us post wrestling video, and for that we're happy.
It's also Fran McCaffery bobblehead night at the stadium, so expect a nauseating amount of bobblehead discussion -- that is, if you can find a place to watch the game. BigTenNetwork.com is providing a live stream for a nominal fee, but you can't get it on television unless you're living in Eastern Iowa and get Mediacom Connections. The game is being replayed for any Mediacom customers who don't get it live at 9:30 on the same station.
You know the rules: No porn, no illegal streams, no racial/sexual/ethnic slurs, no jackassery. Otherwise, free speech is a winner. Play nice.
