As HoyaGoon posted earlier about the worries of that game, I will politely disagree with him. Yes, Michigan has the best quarterback of ALL TIME!!!(!!!!), but the teams he has run/thrown all over kinda just let him run over them. Think about it.
Notre Dame? 70th in the nation in points allowed.
Indiana? 72nd in the nation.
BOWLING GREEN?!? 111th, for the record.
Denard is a legit Heisman candidate, don't get me wrong, but I knew a Josh Nesbitt last year who was supposedly a DEADLY threat on the ground. He found out quickly that it wasn't meant to be. Denard will probably be forced to go to the air by halftime, and being a young, run-first quarterback against the nation's best defense, he will make mistakes. I can see 2 or 3 interceptions on the day and maybe 100 yards or so on the ground. He may actually have more success through the air, the way the secondary has been allowing yards this year.
So don't fret Hawkeye fans. We only have the best defense in the country.
