they left way too many plays on the field. if you dont see the score on the bottom, it looks like they are running all over Sparty. the way that Sparty was able to pull away on their possessions was what made the difference in this game. they scored points on almost every drive.
If our O doesnt playlights out and get way ahead - forcing them away from their primary gameplan, we are gonna be in trouble. if this game is close at halftime, Michigan will be at a huge advantage. I trust the D to do its job, but they do have a few flaws that this spread style of offense can expose; more than a power running game like MSU, UW and tOSTU. Look at what jNW and Indiana have a history of doing to us....
You have to assume that Michigan is going to clean some of that up and make adjustments to find the underneath receiver - which is where Iowa struggles. They are going to be able to average 15yds per completion against us. if they go into a pass first offense and get us on our heels, it will be a long day for the Black and Gold.
If what Iowa does BEST is take away what you do best, then if I was DickRod, I would go after Iowa where they are weakest... Show run, make them come get it and chip away at them in the short / underneath passing game and put pressure on the weak links of the D: our LB pass coverage and Cornerbacks.
Excuse me... I have to change my yardage post in the other article....
I really hope that I am wrong,,,,,
