Smart, really. Anyway, game thread's here tomorrow morning. You know the drill. In the meantime, it's a beautiful evening, so get out there and enjoy it, then get some sleep. Tim Dodge is currently dominating for the Iowa Barnstormers

True story, I went to a Barnstormers game and like 50% of the crowd was wearing Timmy Dodge jerseys. When I instinctively started booing after hearing his name, I thought the three dudes in front of me were going to jump over their seats and beat me to death. They were not pleased that I had insulted their minor league football hero. Apparently everyone who goes to Barnstormers games has either blocked his Iowa career out of their minds, doesn’t remember it, or are ISU fans who love him for it.
Whatever the case, I guess it’s nice that he’s found his calling. He scored like 5 TDs in the game, it was hilarious.

Tim Dodge Kicked Our Ass in High School

Whether it was in track, basketball, or football, Dodge destroyed us. He was a damn good prep athlete.

Also he was fast.

And he beat us. Continually. High School.

but KXNO had Rob Howe on earlier tonight, and he is of the opinion that Wegher will get some meaningful snaps tomorrow. Also, he mentioned that PAKIBOMB got dinged in practice, but should be good to go.

Stupid question

Why is Tim Dodge the go-to reference for something bad? I was out east in school during his years, the nadir of the Iowa program, and I really know nothing about him other than the derogatory references on BHGP. Was he the proto-Shada/Greenwood?

Yeah...

He was never good enough to make it as a receiver at Iowa (despite the testimony that he was apparently an awesome high school player), and they moved him to CB. He promptly got roasted by almost every team we played. You know you are bad when your CBs are you and Matt Stockdale, and the offense is still throwing at you almost 90% of the time.

I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them.
