Last weekend, I went to BSD. They're good guys. Considering their Eastern Time Zones and there's a shit pot of them, they have a good thread about the tOSU thread. They jhate Bobby Bowden with hate we couldn't possibly muster. Anywho, the wife and I are 2 bottles of wine to the better after the Hawkeyes beat AZ, she's shut down, and I'm up for watching more football. This Livethread will be quicker than the game thread with +1000 comments. Hoping someone else is out there. We'll see. Presently wathcing TT v. Texas but will flip around. Oh, and fuck Purdue.

keep an eye on the fanposts. There’s a wave of spam going around SBN right now. Dealt with it on the two sites I had the power to, but I’ve seen it on at least one more.

1) TCU is good, at least better than BYU 28 year olds.
2) ACC teams suck balls, despite VTech and Miami. See MD losing to Middle Tennessee State (yikes – so long Friedgen) and UVA losing to Southern Miss (likewise Groh).

I hope Chizik gets beat by 40 tonight, which has nothing to do with either conference. I hate his ass.

I don’t think we’ll be able to run that well. I think both teams will be somewhat inconsistent on offense, and there will be a few turnovers. I think both teams are about equal on their front 7s, but Iowa’s secondary may be better.

Being a shameless homer, I think the home field advantage (provided the students actually show up (we’ve had some nice arguments about that) grr) may give PSU just enough of an edge.

Nice, defensive, Big Ten game. 24-20, PSU or something. But I would not be surprised at all if Iowa wins and will probably yell at anyone who predicts a PSU blowout.

Well,

our MVP so far is our punter. It’s stinking scary, what with our Manzi getting booed at home. That being said, our best LT, WR, and TE didn’t play a down, our best RB is out for the year, and our 2nd best RB did some fucking thing to his knee. So far, awesome. Now, we haven’t lost our usual inexplicable Sept game. Who knows? Joe may have been holding everything back to get here, in which case we’re fucked, or we’re pretty much equal with the revenge factor a wildcard. Today, Saturday, who knows?

Not sure what you're talking about with Stanzi getting boo-ed at home...

…I’ve been at both games, and no one in Kinnick has boo-ed at one of our players loudly enough to be heard. I think after JC6, I would throw any boo-birds over the top edge of the stadium. No Hawkeye should ever catch a boo at Kinnick.
