Rittenberg pushes out BHGP, I demand Mancott

Manziface_medium

I ain't getting the money unless I see the stuff first.

From ESPN Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg in his Iowa "Best Case-Worst Case" Preview.

BEST CASE

The Hawkeyes pave the road in black and gold, the defensive line holds together and "Stanzi is the Manzi" T-shirts are worn all across the state.

Star-divide

Unless BHGP had a memorable flood of sales prior to the cease and desist letter--clothing the Hawkeye State in all things black hearted and gold pantsed, I think something's fishy.  Namely, that one Adam Rittenberg desires a wholesale monopoly of 100% cotton seamless rib collar Manzi t-shirts. Let's review and edit:

It's a long story, but suffice it to say a letter from the Athletic Department ADAM RITTENBERG stating that we were violating NCAA rules CROWDING ON HIS TURF LIKE A PORTUGUESE! and demanding we cease and desist production of those shirts for fear of jeopardizing Slick Rick's eligibility CHI CHI! got us to stop.  Turns out you can't use a player's name on merchandise!  Silly us! GET THE YEYO!

Mancott of all things Adam and Rittenberg until he gets high on his own supply.  Unless he's asking indirectly that BHGP should be allowed to resell the shirts.  In which case he's cool.

I have to admit...

Iowa has really squandered its good will with the national media predictions. After 2005 we were more overrated than noise-reduction headphones. Now, I can’t find anyone who can imagine us beating Michigan State—who, by the way, is grunting and hacking its way through a QB controversy between two guys who have attempted, like, 8 passes total in a college football game.

I don’t get it…but Ferentz does best when the world is most apathetic to the Hawks.

If I were in Egypt, I would vanquish your terrorists

That, my friend, is the most epic photoshopping we’ve had in…well, one day, because of the ninja cowboy velociraptor was pretty cool. But yeah. Well played.
