I wasn't sure how many golfers hang around these parts, but I thought I'd get the word out on this event, anyway. On July 18th, in Muscatine, Geneva County Club will be hosting the Iowa Transplant Open, a fundraiser supporting both the Iowa Donor Network, as well as participants of the Transplant Games. Gary Dolphin will be emceeing the event, and there are a handful of Hawkeye players, past and present, attending. Players include Mitch "Unusual Punishment" King, Bradley Fletcher, Daniel Murray, Bryan Bulaga, and others. It's a good time, at a nice course, and for a good cause. After golf, there's an auction and dinner in the clubhouse. If golf isn't your game, you can choose to attend just the dinner for $50, whereas golfing and dinner will run $125.
