Congrats Bryan Bulaga

on being the 11th overall selection by the Buffalo Bills in the 2010 NFL Draft.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/andrew_perloff/04/28/2010/index.html?bcnn=yes

Then again, there's a decent chance this guy misses on every one of his picks...  Maybe if Bulaga has a hell of a year, he can move up to Robert Gallery territory...you know without the bust tag 5 years later.  Either way, I can't wait to hear all the whale jokes by Berman during next years draft.

And the other '10 preview on CNNSI lists 45 players

and fails to include our Great Black and Gold Whale. I mean, the usual CNNSI college football caveat applies — they’re fucking buffoons — but that’s a pretty wide range of opinions.

I think it’s interesting to see some of the previews that have Bulaga rated so highly because while I love him and think he’s made of pure awesomesauce, he’s kind of been operating under the radar in terms of media love. In fact the Big 10 media loved him so much they made him All-Big Ten honorable mention last year. The coaches, having seen firsthand their guys try (and fail) to get by Mt. Bulaga, were a bit more impressed, naming him to the second team. Still, to go from 2nd-team all-conference to the verge of the top ten in the NFL draft would be quite a jump.

The media was just confused

All those “boos” for Jake C last year were actually people yelling “Boo-laga.” If they had understood that, he would have been All-Big Ten.

Unfortunately I have to question the guys competence

DE to Indy is stupid, because they have two ends coming off Pro Bowl trips, both signed for 3+ more seasons.

CNNSI knows things you don't, you see

For example, Dwight Freeney’s arms will be torn off in a freak wheat thresher accident, and the rehab for this limb replacement is way more time-intensive than you’d think.

actually cross the first link off too

looked at some of his 2009 draft stuff and he graded the Raiders taking Heyward-Bey at 7, Higher than the Jags getting Eugene Monroe at 8.

He rated the DHB pick as high or higher than all but 8 picks in the first round. The DHB pick was the worst in the draft and he has it solidly in the top half of first round picks.

I don't know why I kept reading that after he rated the DHB pick higher than the Crabtree pick.

And I’m a Raiders fan. Even I don’t fucking believe that.

I don’t think I’d ever visit CBS Sports if my main fantasy football league wasn’t housed there. What a shitty site. They’ve had the same godawful writers and hideous layout for fucking years now.

Woah there

The the DHB pick wasn’t even the worst Raiders pick of the draft. At least he was a legit first rounder, they took a guy who otherwise wouldn’t have gone before like the fifth in the second.

Bulaga is rated highly in a number of mocks I've seen. Usually Top 10.

I knew he was good, but not… great.

People should remember that while they have the right to their opinion, they are not entitled to be taken seriously. --Bruce Bartlett

You should play closer attention to him then

He was flat out dominant last year, especially as a run blocker. And he was just a true sophomore! I can’t think of another Iowa lineman who was this good this soon in his career. He’s got all the tools NFL scouts are looking for in LT prospect too, with his long arms and athleticism (remember, he was a good enough TE in high school that he had several DI offers to play that position). I’d be really surprised if he’s not a Top 10 pick, and I’m really hoping we don’t lose him after this year.
