LIVEGAMESUPEROPENTHREAD: NO EASY WAY OUT

There's no easy way out.
There's no shortcut home.

Apollo Creed died in the last fight.  Balboa comes off the bench to defend his honor.  He's been running through snow, climbing mountains, living in a barn in Siberia.  He's ready, and not even the Soviets' technological superiority in genetics and workout equipment (or, in this case, handing out cars) can stop him.

Comments below.  You know the rules.  It's time to slay Drago.

The one problem with Vandenberg after 5 quarters

Looks disturbingly good throwing when there are only linemen in the way, or on the rollout. But when he has to go over a safety or a linebacker in zone, his arm strength makes it tough to loft it into the seam. It happened repeatedly last week. It happened on the Moeaki pass. Otherwise, I’m pleased as punch.

this place smells like feet. i’ll bring a can of lysol next week.

Agree. I think we need an interception or fumble to give Mandenberg a short field.

Horsecollar?

Apparently an arm around his waste doesn’t count.

Elephant walk?

I guess my first post didn’t sound quite right. He had him wrapped up, not just on the jersey.

We need to force a 3 and out on their first possession

regardless of if we score or not. Their O has a lot of momentum

Yes.

I’d like to see a 8-9 play scoring drive and then a 3 and out for them. That would be just grand to start off the second half.

I think not having Norm on the sidelines

is a bit of an issue in games like this…he needs access to these guys. I like that Ferentz told them GET OFF THE BLOCKS…they are letting Ohio State stay connected out of fear of Pryor running.

So Hunter is out now too. That's not part of the script.

Tarpinian

Who is very good in his own right. He beat Hunter out for the job last year before getting hurt, and almost got him again this year.

That sucks for him. At least Tarp is a really good backup though.

I really think with Mandenberg if we can just get a TD then we’l be okay. IT’s like trying to break through.

By the way, no spoilers about UFC please.

ge V off to a good start. Check
be within 7 points at half. Check.
Not allow any huge plays. Check.

Ohio State? I think Tressel has something…he’ll try to use our discipline against us.
