Past performance is not
is not an indicator of future success. However, I believe the following says a lot about the level of defenses Michigan has played to date and the one it will play Saturday night. And since I don't have way with words and analysis of Bellanca, I will let the numbers do the talking...
| Team | Rush D | Pass Eff | Total D | Scoring | Average |
| Western Mich | 99 | 79 | 89 | 71 | 84.5 |
| ND | 67 | 76 | 96 | 58 | 74.25 |
| Eastern Mich | 119 | 6 | 72 | 99 | 74 |
| Indiana | 45 | 86 | 46 | 63 | 60 |
| Mich State | 22 | 101 | 49 | 64 | 59 |
| Average | 70.4 | 69.6 | 70.4 | 71 | 70.35 |
| Iowa | 50 | 4 | 32 | 10 | 24 |

Crap
Ok, I spend 25 minutes of work time statisfying my own intellectual curosity, decide to post it, only see after it publishes that Stormin’ has done the same damn thing, but only better b/c he went to the trouble of comparing it to Forcier’s performance.
Damn you and your delayed INPIYLTI. Damn you all to hell.

How about turnovers?
We’ve forced 14, I think, and I think we’re plus 4. Curious how that changes things.
It’s weird the way we are only 50th in run D this year, given that no one is allowed to score on the ground (that’s against our rules).
Mr. Boh Knows ...
Lets not forget
The scoring D includes two TDs that were all on the offense.
