Yeah...
I’m not too good in the “paying attention at 9am” department (The "Picka header should attest to that). The PSU/jNWU pick was a double loss anyway, making for fail three times over, in addition to the other losses.
This is why I don’t ever actually bet money.
Turns out
it was a bad lock too
It never gets to be easy

Over in OSU game.
I’m a sucker for the favorites today apparently…
'They are who we thought they were!'
That MSU v. Minn game spread is crazy.
If I were in Vegas I would put it all on MSU. Minn, is so done now that Decker is hurt. That will be 34-10 game.

I am pretty tight with a guy who sets spreads
for one of the casinos in Vegas. He’s told me that one of the biggest factors in setting spreads is betting history. All teams have a public betting history. That is, the public has a history of riding them no matter what or avoiding them no matter what. In some games he said that info can move a spread up to 4 points. Then, there is whether the game is on national TV (lots of betting on those so no need to entice the public), historic match-up (most betting services that you pay for picks use history as the public buys into that) and well down on the list of factors, play on the field.
Upshot, don’t overread any spread. MSU will demolish Minnesota.

Staying the hell away from this one – Purdue is a random number generator this year. (Granted, they’ve come up craps more often than not, but then they put a bullet between the eyes of OSU’s national title hopes.)
Indiana (I think, in a rare moment of comfort for the Hawkeyes, you win this one by two TDs, but not the 3 you’d need to cover)
Michigan (holy God Illinois is awful)
PSU (NW will discover quickly that you don’t come back from down 25 against Penn State)
MSU (I would be utterly terrified of the usual last-second collapse if Decker were available. But he isn’t.)
NMSU/Under (come on, when has Tressel ever run up 50 on a non-conf cupcake? and does this version of OSU look even vaguely capable of doing so?)
