Best in the country.
That's right. According to CBS's Midseason All-American team, Iowa has three first teamers. Dace Richardson, Pat Angerer, and everyone's favorite vulture, Tyler "Motherfuckin" Sash. It would seem that the 7-0 start is really turning the MSM onto the Hawkeyes. If this keeps up, Hawkeye fans are going to have to give up on the no respect complaints.

and what does Tyler "Motherfucking" Sash have to say?
“That’s right motherfuckers! I’m coming for your balls!”

Seriously
I want this on a t-shirt.
…give me the courage and the ability to so conduct myself in every situation that my country, my family, and my friends will be proud of me.

No respect
Just wait. When you get to your BCS bowl, it will all start up again. Too slow. Too boring. Not enough speed. The Big Ten sucks and will never win again.
"It's like a bad rave, only in place of the hypnotic effects of your grandfather's oxycontin, there's an actual octogenerian screaming gibberish over a thumping beat."
That is the one time of the year
when I want everyone to say we will lose. Then the team plays loose. Hard to play when you are supposed to win. These kids read the websites, blogs, tweets…although they don’t read the papers.

It's been easy to play the respect card
How often do you see a top 15 team where the spread is basically a wash against non-ranked opponents, much less twice in a row?

Look in on GTech
they are often not given a chnce by vegas. But, you’re right, this is unprecedented dissing.

Dace
is really an amazing story, and I’m very surprised that the MSM has not picked up on it. Well, not surprised so much as pissed, right that’s it, really pissed. Hopefully he’ll make an NFL roster next year and the teams won’t be scared off by his previous injuries.

on paper
Sash is an All-American. but let’s face it, he’s a product of Norm’s scheme more than anything. i know i know, if that was the case we’d have safeties with ridiculous numbers every yr, but consider this the D-line and (more importantly) our DB’s abilities compared to previous yrs.
the flipside to that is Clayborn. his numbers aren’t going to drop anyone’s panties, but he’s clearly our most talented player on D. his pressure up front has directly or indirectly led to many of Sash’s INT’s.
also surprised to see Dace on this list.

You're a moron
He’s a shut down safety and tackles like a freight train.
Oh shit
The Universe itself is going to implode any second. No way does anybody in the media put Timothy Tebow on 2nd team anything.
Iowa getting respect, Tebow not getting fellated…what kind of bizarro world is this?
Luring recruits with my new "Posting HD" scheme since '08.
Exactly.
Seeing that, I lend this list absolutely zero creedence.

Recon, you are doing it.
KTP, who cares. Give the Sash dude his 15 seconds. The other guys will get theirs.
If we would just pound one team into dust, this disbelieving euphoria we suffer will turn into NATIONAL GLOBAL INTERGALACTIC MEGALUST GO-IOWA HAPPINESS.
That’s my hope: MSU beat-down. Evy would appreciate it.

Bank on it
we finally found our perfect match-up. Good team to keep our attention. Check. Road game. Check. Freshman QB. Check. Weak DBs and overhyped D-line. Check. Overrated coach who makes tight in-game decisions. Check. Team with no running game. Check. Decent but not great weather. Check.
For the record, 27-13. I am predicting Arizona redux (the feel of that game, not the kind of game, total defensive domination). I mean, Northwestern is awful. They barely beat Miami of Ohio and they are the worst team in the country. Well, jNU played MSU to a draw in the first half. jNU doesn’t even pretend to run the ball.

They're not the worst team

Northwestern always does that to us
Kind of like Iowa State does to you, except for no discernable reason (not a rivalry).
It’s going to be a tough game. I think Iowa probably comes away with it just because it has the feel of That Kind of Year for them, where they win every game by one score whether against a top-5 team or an NAIA team.
I don't have a problem with the vegas stuff.
Betting is just a purchase decision, and Iowa has shown disdain for the normal course of being X points better than anyone. Just from a betting perspective, Iowa’s been very high-beta (high variance).

no adrian clayborn?
I’m sorry but it is a CRIME not to include the amazing Adrian Clayborn atleast on second team all american. That dude is a FREAK!
