Keeler: Hawkeyes spill their guts in win over Badgers
"Edds figured that roughly 10 players called in sick at one point or another, with Spievey and tight end Tony Moeaki supposedly getting the worst of it. ... "I was kind of nauseous," said the junior cornerback, whose third-quarter interception kick-started the Hawkeyes' mojo and set up the game-tying touchdown. "I wanted to throw up."
Two of our best players on Saturday had the flu and we still absolutely dominated the second half and won by double-digits. Insane.

we are waiting for our sadgers pic to be added to the growing list
oh and why was this not even mentioned on the game telecast. when florida, ole miss and alabama players had the flu it was reported daily for the entire week before the game…you know, in case they could use it for an excuse if they lose. and 5 minute updates on game day of tebow..will he play with the flu or not saga
Im actually glad they didnt mention it because….
could the big ten be tougher than the sec…oh the thought of that????
No, no, no
It’s because no one cares about the B10, but anything that happens in the SEC is news that everyone is interested in. Just wait for the life affirming, triumph over adversity stories that we’ll hear about Florida is week, “They turned the ball over, and they still managed to gut out a victory! Wow!” Same for Texas.
We’ll just keep grinding. KF will “one game at a time” us to death, which is fine, because it’s true, each game could kill us, we can’t afford to lose.
It never gets to be easy

This past week's SI cover made me spill my guts (and shit my pants)
“SEC Football: Nobody Does It Better. The Nation’s Toughest Conference”
That whole article was four pages on why those bumpkin rednecks LOVE football more than you, the non-SEC fan, do. Why their football is played with more intensity, more passion and, very discretely, why if their so-called “top programs” are having down years, it’s because there’s so much talent in other programs that one program just can’t stockpile it all.
What we the non-SEC fan saw yesterday – and have seen throughout the year – was questionable officiating, sloppy play marred with inexplicable turnovers, and oh yes, speed. Lots of it. You see, that is what makes good football. Nevermind that the top games were shitfests. Can’t you see how FAST they play the game?
Intensity. Passion. Speed. Fire and desire.
Those are what makes the SEC better than all conferences. Just don’t bother to break the games down.

I couldn't see anyone on the field
They were all so fast it was just like watching a blur on the screen. There’s no way anyone in the country could beat an SEC team. You can’t tackle/block what you can’t see.
It's not that I'm lazy, Bob, it's just that I don't care
