Hawkeye Football • 1985 #2 Michigan vs #1 Iowa (via gavproductions)
It's ON. It's time for Michigan. Time to watch Clayborn & Co. pound Forcier into dust and Stanzi... well, let's just hope he keeps the STANZIBALLS under control. But it's Michigan - no one gets Kinnick rocking like the Wolverines. And there are few things sweeter than beating Michigan. So let's get it on.

Let's get this out of the way now - whatcha drinkin?
Coors Light (and some Hendricks if things don’t go well or if they do, I suppose)
Perhaps my best years are gone. When there was a chance of happiness. But I wouldn't want them back. Not with the fire in me now. No, I wouldn't want them back.

Ashamed to admit it - Bud Light Golden Wheat
Someone left a twelve pack of it in my fridge after Packers/Vikings. And it’s actually not half bad.

I hit up the BHGP tailgate earlier this morning. Hawkeye State was huffing gas and Oops Pow Surprise was naked.
It. Was. Awesome.

Reisner might be a bit shaky tonight
Dinged a knee in practice. He’s warming up though, per Rob Howe @ HN.

Also, Reiff is working with the ones at left guard
Dace on the right.
Sounds like JV is experiencing the ramifications of playing like a dried dog turd last week.

DJK is warming with the Ones
Looks like Reisner is a go.
And Kuempel has switched numbers, to #90. More tackle elligible, maybe?

So, thinking about what we learned from WI-OSU...
OSU only had one offensive TD all game, right? The one Pryor threw right before halftime? Other than that, the Badger defense really seemed to do a pretty good job of slowing them down. They were just undone by a pair of pick-sixes and the KR TD.
Which makes me think that IF we can limit the STANZIBALLS in Colombus, we might have a decent shot at that game. Granted, I realize that’s the Empire State Building of ifs at this point, but still… slightly encouraging data, I think.

Slightly encouraging
But their D looks good enough to tempt the Manzi into a few Stanziballs

Down in ocean city, Maryland with the family. Dad (who sat in the rain and misery in happy valley weeks ago) suddenly says “you know, i always liked Iowa.”
“oh yeah?”
“yeah, who was their old coach?”
“hayden fry?”
“Hayden fry. Always liked him.”
So you have the old man on your side. Fuck Michigan.

It's gross.
They need to be aggressive. Smart, but aggressive.

I am referring to the entire half, not just that play.

Michigan is making Stanzi win the game. That's why we can't run.

the bad new is
they have 4 turnovers and we’re only up 6

As long as we convert them into points I am happy

I have a feeling that if he was ours
We would be happy. We get the same turnovers, but from a Junior

we could accidentally get into FG territory here

I think their FS is an idiot
just put it up and let our guys fight for it….of course, we can’t block them.

We played a VERY sloppy half and we are up 6
we need to tighten it up and take these guys to the woodshed

by KentuckyThunderPussy on Oct 10, 2009 8:47 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
3 seconds on the game clock, and we had a time out left. It makes no sense at all. NONE.
Somebody has to be looking at the play clock there and call that last time out.

i'm kind of tossed
but what good does a timeout do for us if there were only 3 secs left? is that where we draw up the “two second play?”
someone prove my ignorance
by KentuckyThunderPussy on Oct 10, 2009 8:52 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
u are tossed
you call the timeout to avoid the delay of game penalty, 48 fg instead of 53
by Eubanks on Oct 10, 2009 8:53 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
This.
But otherwise, yeah, no, there wouldn’t have been any to-the-endzone shit.
by Bucketochicken on Oct 10, 2009 8:53 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
ooooh there was a delay of game?
