MICHIGAN TIME OPENLIVETHREADGAMEBLOG

Hawkeye Football • 1985 #2 Michigan vs #1 Iowa (via gavproductions)

Let's hope it's not this close tonight.

It's ON.  It's time for Michigan.  Time to watch Clayborn & Co. pound Forcier into dust and Stanzi... well, let's just hope he keeps the STANZIBALLS under control.  But it's Michigan - no one gets Kinnick rocking like the Wolverines.  And there are few things sweeter than beating Michigan.  So let's get it on.

Coors Light (and some Hendricks if things don’t go well or if they do, I suppose)

Perhaps my best years are gone. When there was a chance of happiness. But I wouldn't want them back. Not with the fire in me now. No, I wouldn't want them back.

Ashamed to admit it - Bud Light Golden Wheat

Someone left a twelve pack of it in my fridge after Packers/Vikings. And it’s actually not half bad.

ARF ARF ARF

I hit up the BHGP tailgate earlier this morning. Hawkeye State was huffing gas and Oops Pow Surprise was naked.

It. Was. Awesome.

Reisner might be a bit shaky tonight

Dinged a knee in practice. He’s warming up though, per Rob Howe @ HN.

by Bucketochicken on Oct 10, 2009 6:33 PM CDT reply actions

Also, Reiff is working with the ones at left guard

Dace on the right.

Sounds like JV is experiencing the ramifications of playing like a dried dog turd last week.

by Bucketochicken on Oct 10, 2009 6:37 PM CDT reply actions

DJK is warming with the Ones

Looks like Reisner is a go.

And Kuempel has switched numbers, to #90. More tackle elligible, maybe?

by Bucketochicken on Oct 10, 2009 6:39 PM CDT reply actions

So, thinking about what we learned from WI-OSU...

OSU only had one offensive TD all game, right? The one Pryor threw right before halftime? Other than that, the Badger defense really seemed to do a pretty good job of slowing them down. They were just undone by a pair of pick-sixes and the KR TD.

Which makes me think that IF we can limit the STANZIBALLS in Colombus, we might have a decent shot at that game. Granted, I realize that’s the Empire State Building of ifs at this point, but still… slightly encouraging data, I think.

by RossWB on Oct 10, 2009 6:55 PM CDT reply actions

Slightly encouraging

But their D looks good enough to tempt the Manzi into a few Stanziballs

by YouCanPutYourEddsInIt on Oct 10, 2009 6:57 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, that is the troubling thing.

Their defense looks totally fucking legit.

I think that game is going to remind us A LOT of 2003.

Don't pull a fucking Romo on us, Tony.

Stop throwing it at their best cover guy.

And we need more than FGs out of their turnovers.

Fuck you booth

his effing hands were beneath that. Robinson made a GREAT play.

by stewartom on Oct 10, 2009 8:06 PM CDT reply actions

We are pathetic on offense right now

We need to get the run going. If we can’t, we are not Iowa. Stanzi is not Drew Tate.

by vahawk on Oct 10, 2009 8:07 PM CDT reply actions

completely disagree

We have the tools to attack an opponents weakness. Michigan’s weakness is its secondary. They’re going to stack the box the whole night and pray that we keep running.

by stewartom on Oct 10, 2009 8:08 PM CDT up reply actions

Did you see Indiana run on them?

INDIANA? Thats a weakness when Indiana does it.

by vahawk on Oct 10, 2009 8:09 PM CDT up reply actions

Michigan's D

is not good period. Just run a balanced attack on them
