Browns Hire Head Coach; Big Surprise, It's Not Ferentz
[Bumped. Well, duh.--OPS]
The Cleveland Browns have agreed to hire Eric Mangini as their head coach, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press.
Mangini, fired last week by the New York Jets, reached an agreement with the club Wednesday, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because Mangini's contract has not been finalized.

Even after ESPN spent half the Iowa game talking about Ferentz-to-Cleveland?
No way! ESPN’s blind, uninformed speculation was wrong yet again??

I'm not sure.
I watched a local program (I’m in Omaha) a few weeks ago and they interviewed the new owner or whatever he’s technically called. He really liked Herm Edwards and wanted him to stick around. He also that, although the new GM would have input on who the coach is, the president/owner guy would have the final say. It was about as big of an affirmation of Edwards there could be without being 100% definite.
Of course, that doesn’t mean the rumors won’t start.
Viva la nuance! Reading comprehension rules!!!

IMPOSSIBLE!
ESPN is NEVER wrong. You know why it was so surprising to see the Michigan Wolverines go 3-9 this season? Because who would have thought that Les Miles would try to run the spread at Ann Arbor?
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
