When you haven’t won a bowl for over 65 years, yes you end up being upsetted by immature, baiting blog posts. Still, I’m a B10 guy, and I hope they beat Mizzou to uphold the honor of the B10, no matter how annying I find ’Cats fans.
I also hope that I shit gold tomorrow and that my free month’s supply of Enzyte finally takes hold, too. Either of those is a ‘push’ compared to a ’Cats victory, however.

Be mad at Iowa for being a more attractive school for bowl organizers, bro. Talk shit on Iowa, on Iowa City, on our farmers, on anything you want. Ultimately, you’re suffering from a really weird version of short-man syndrome, and we aren’t bothered by it. So have fun.

Let them come here and scream and cry and whine and make futile attempts at humor that even Iowa State fans would say are unfunny. They have already lost all their money in a credit default swap scheme gone wrong. They have already lost their pride at Indiana. Let them lose what shred of dignity they have left. Let them obsess over the few things they have left in the hollow shell of their collective life. Let them bitch all through the postseason, for all I care.
This? This reaction from what I can only hope are DePaul graduates (because if Northwestern graduates are this idiotic and unfunny, the entire country is totally fucked)? This just proves we’re much, much better at this than they are. Let them deal with that reality.

I know living in Iowa can’t be fun, but do you really have nothing better to do than to post random hate letters at third party blogs? Seriously, you got the better bowl with a worse record and ranking, but you still can’t let go of this laughably idiotic quest to rename Northwestern “jNU”? Iowa is a large state school with a rapid fan base and should be nationally ranked every year. Northwestern is private school that, by all rights, should be perennial bottom feeders in the Big Ten. And yet we’ve beaten you in 3 out of the last 4 games, and you’re posting petty and (more importantly) unfunny messages at a Big 12 school’s blog. Somehow, I don’t think we’re the ones with the “short-man syndrome.”

Yeah...
I’d definitely say some of these responses are people not being able to take a joke… on the other hand, what’s joking back at you? Both sides are showing signs of not being able to take a joke.

I was just talking about a lot of the jNW fans (like blacksuxgoldswallows, or eatingcornthelongway) who get, like, genuinely outraged whenever there’s a post here that makes fun of Northwestern and wind up embarrassing themselves with their painfully unfunny attempts to get back at OPS. It was hilarious at first, but it’s getting to the point where it’s almost painful to read. It’s college football, people, it’s supposed to be fun.
