Update: Stoops to ISU?

Sources close to UA are hearing that ISU will be asking the Arizona AD for permission to speak with Mike Stoops after UA's bowl game tomorrow, Saturday 12/20.
Word is that Stoops is ISU's guy, and they will be offering him a 5-year deal at $1.3 Million per year. However, supposedly Stoops likes UA and would like to stay there. He's looking for a raise and an extension to stay there, but even with a raise he wouldn't be making $1.3 at UA.

He’ll head to ISU and not like it, or hold UA hostage? Either way, should be fun.

Clone Fanatic is reporting that Stoops himself said, "It's not me."
This, of course, makes me hope it’s Stoops all the more.

And apparently Stoops himself called KXNO
to deliver the good news that it won’t him at ISU. Thank God.
Makes me think the initial “No comment” from Stoops was to spur extension talks.
Other boosters said on the radio today that Stoops is 100% not the guy. Not that we can take anyone at their word at this point.

It does seem
that whenever someone is 100% sure to stay or leave, they do the opposite.
