IOWA BEATS PENN STATE

Volume up as high as it goes for this one.

24-23 is the final score, obviously.

Iowa was 7/10 on 3rd down, including 4/4 on the final drive. Penn State started 6/8, then converted none of their last six.

Shonn Greene continued to be all man, rushing 28 times for 117 yards and 2 TDs.

Iowa beat a Top 10 Top 5 team for the first time since 1990.

Now, if I may...

(clears throat)

(adjusts necktie)

(where did I get a necktie?)

(clears throat again)

WOOOO PARTY CELEBRATE GET NAKED WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh

and ESPN is saying first over a top 10 since 2004. I’m assuming regular season since 1990?

Plus

Didn’t we beat number 8 Michigan in 2002?

Hmmm, yes we did.

I guess I should pay better attention to the graphics.

It was our first something win since 1990. Top 5, maybe?

Correct

ESPN/ABC said it wrong. BTN and BHGP got it right.

I never wear pants on a game day

But if I did, I guarantee I would be twistin’ them round my head – SPIN IT LIKE A HELCOPTER……etc.

You sir, are a festizio.

Good game guys.

You were the better team today. Now go win your bowl game and we’ll win ours and let’s shut up the Big Ten haters.

Speaking of Bowl games...

PLEASE PSU win out so that we can see a very sweet PSU-USC match up.

I would love that

Would make up for some obvious losses in the past few years against those fags.

Congrats, Iowa

Right after the game I was obviously super pissed. Like so pissed I wanted to gather an army and march through Iowa, leaving a swath of destruction behind us.

But, yeah, I’m a little more calm now. You beat us, fair and square. Good luck in your bowl, fellas.

Celebrate Good Obama - Come on!

Good times indeed. What a game, such a thriller. Shonn Greene puts on a good show on ABC, Ferentz didn’t get too emotional (save it for a possible bowl game and/or victory), Stanzi gets some confidence, Lineman had a good performance against a great team.

P.S. Was Mossbrucker injured? Going with Murray was surprising.
P.S.S. For the record, I still do not like KOK. My opinion has not changed.
P.S.S.S. Doug Flutie died his hair

Mossbrucker wasn't hurt, he was doing all the PATs

The Murray thing was apparently a combination of him having a stronger leg (there were some wicked cross-winds blowing in Kinnick, apparently), and Ferentz not wanting to a throw a true freshman into that sort of situation. I still hate the decision, but it worked so fuck it.

Yeah, Murray drilled it

I guess his thinking was, Murray will kick it hard enough to get it through the wind before it gets blown toward the near post.

Frankly, I think both would have made it.

Suspicion confirmed

that song/video is even more fun drunk

Shonn Greene for Heisman
137 yards per game
6.1 yards per carry
08 TDs per game > 06 GPA

Congratulations to Iowa

shonn greene is by far the best RB we have faced. And I think I am in love with Mitch King and his flowing locks. Maybe the next J Leman?

PSU: gracious folks

I don’t think we’ve encountered such graciousness from fans of any other school this year. And it’s more remarkable given how bitter the loss must be this morning. After all, we lost to Zook, before Zook lost to Directional.

Honestly...

I’m kinda upset that the AP voters only gave you guys 5 total votes (6 in the coaches). None of your losses have been blowouts, and you sorta did just take down the former #2/#3 team in the nation.

If there is any consolation, you guys are the best 4 loss team in the nation.

I, for one, blame Zook.

This song...

…should replace ‘In Heaven There Is No Beer.’

"Sweet lady fate, why dost thou piss on me so?"

I object

Solely on the basis of the fact that a little more than 24 hours ago I stood directly behind the band while they played In Heaven There is No Beer 4 straight times as about 30,000 of my closest friends covered the field. It was absolutely beautiful. Incidentally, I’m still cold from the damn wind.
