Greene officially a Doak Walker finalist

[Bumped. This is easy when everyone does the heavy lifting for us.--OPS]

And should be a lock for the award.  He's up against Javon Ringer and Knowshon Moreno.  How UConn's Donald Brown got snubbed for Moreno is beyond me.

Stat lines for the finalists are as follows:

Shonn Greene, Iowa: Leads nation with 1,729 rush yards.17 TDs. Long rush: 75 yards.
Knowshon Moreno, Georgia: 1,244 rush yards. 15 TDs. Long rush: 68 yards.
Javon Ringer, Michigan State: 1,590 rush yards with 21 TDs. Long rush: 64 yards

Vote here.

Moreno may only have 1200-some yards...

…but he JUMPED OVER A GUY.

Wow! According to the National Media, that gets you 500 yards of style points.

What a crock of absolute fucking shit that he’s nominated in a year where the Okie St and Connecticutt backs have 400 more yards, at least. What a roilingcrock of boiling poo.

If he wins, I’ll cry ‘RAT’!

If it's not too much trouble, search your soul--and then ask yourself if maybe I might have a point.

They misspelled Moreno's first name

Isn’t it No-Shonn as in he is No-Shonn Greene…

So...

Where does he rank in Iowa lore, all-time? I posed this question on Saturday and got some mixed reviews. What does the immoral majority think?

Do you guys think Greene will go pro?

I’m a Penn State fan (congrats on the win, I was in Iowa City and yeah it sucked but you guys were pretty cool about it-would much rather have you guys beat us than Michigan or Ohio State), and hoping the answer is yes.
