F--king f--k.
We can be a lot prouder of this loss than the ISU debacle, of course, but at the end of the day our record is the same: 2-2.
Sure, we can mention that Iowa started in the exact same fashion in 2004 en route to a 10-2 (7-1) season, but with the way the receiving corps is looking, it's impossible to predict a bowl bid at this point.
Goddammit. They played their asses off tonight.

Agreed OPS...
I feel a lot better about us competing in the B10 after last night, and was amazed to see NP making a few adjustments (blitzes, nickels, oh my!!). Wish KOK would have done the same, maybe the bubble screen we're avoiding like the plague now (all our skinny white receivers are out, so it's understandable), maybe a qb draw or something.
The game felt so much like the Alamo last year. Frustratingly semi-sketch call with a big points swing, no rhythm, an insane reverse call that did not work at all. So maddeningly frustrating to lose a game like that.
Go Hawks. Next week it's James MF'in Hardy. We need to take care of biz-nass.

No bubble screens?
You didn't see the bubble screens ran for Paul Chaney?
Also, I can't see any world in which this loss would hurt more than the ISU loss. We lost by 4 to a tough Wiscsonsin team in their house at night. Very respectable says I.

How many did we run?
I guess I was expecting 1/series like we ran last year.

Re: Bubble Screens
I'd have to go back and watch the game again, but I know we ran at least 2 bubble screens to Chaney, maybe three.
Should we try to figure out how many times we ran the swing pass to Young? More or less than 13?
