Change of Plans
I just got offered a seat on the 50 and a parking pass, so I'm making the quick trip to Iowa City for Senior Day.
It's been mentioned earlier in the week, but 2000 Iowa-Western Michigan was the low point of Iowa football. They walked into Kinnick and threw at Tim Dodge all day. I was there. I was apoplectic.
Now, vengeance is mine.
I'll be back for the night games. Go Hawks.

What is going on with this game? I come home and its 12-0. I keep telling myself I want Iowa to go to a bowl for the extra practice time but honestly, maybe no bowl will actually get the Athletic Administration to make some changes on this staff. I doubt it and I will still be cheering for a comeback W.
That 2000 WMichigan game was painful and definitely a low point. I would argue Hayden's last game getting beat down by the Gophers was actually worse.
Jake "WILD THING" Christensen just threw a pick while I was writing this. I have nothing positive to type right now so I will quit. I love the Blog. GO HAWKS

the thing that's pissing me off is that if they weren't going to bother showing up today, they should have just lost 2 games ago and not made up think a bowl was possible.
end of story
They are rushing 4 guys. We are blocking with 5 and chipping with a back. We are completely unable to protect Jake and when he invariably goes running for his life, he's crashing into one of our guards, who is just standing there doing nothing.
This is our 12th game of the season and we are completely without a clue on how to handle a rudimentary blocking scheme.
6 guys can not block, unbelievable
It is amazing that we can not block for Jake but then again when we drop him back 5-7 steps on the majority of pass plays, what do you expect?
Everyone rips on KOK and deservedly so but the first coach that needs to go on this staff is OL coach Morgan. His track record is terrible and we are constantly in rebuilding mode on our Oline every season.
This program has never replaced the success under Philbin.
